He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert "Bob" Poehler and Janice Poehler (Johnson); his significant other Michelle Amell; his brother Ron Poehler; his uncle Jim Poehler; his pets, Zack and Zoey; and his aunt Mannette.

He is survived by : his pet Cooper James; his uncle Richard Poehler; his close friends, Sean Bauer (Ann), Frank Cox (Candy), Ashley Wald, Cindy Thomas and Jennifer Fine; his cousins, Darran Ryan (Karen) and Joy Ryan; his aunt Marlene; and his brother Scott.

In lieu of flowers Grant requested donations either monetary or pet food to be given to Animal Empowerments League's Lend a Paw pantry program.
