“Gyle was my cousin on my father's side of the family. He always lived in North Dakota and I lived in Florida but for the majority of our lives we kept in touch via letters and then emails and texts. I spent many summers with Gyle and his parents who were the most wonderful parents a person could ever have. Gyle was smart and very interested in the world we lived in. He had a killer sense of humor and he always made me laugh. I never treated him any differently than anyone else, I didn't see his physical handicap, I saw a very unique individual who was one of the most interesting people I had ever met. I went to my first strip club at the age of 20 with him! He always took me down roads I might not travel and I think he's the one who inspired me to live my life that way. Gyle was a true fighter but I do believe he was ready to move on to the next adventure the last few years of his life. I will miss you Gyle, you were one of kind in many ways.
