He was predeceased by: his parents, Benedict Rene and Dorothy Rene; and his siblings, Joseph, Frederick and Janet.
He is survived by: his siblings, John, Thomas, Phillip and Cathy; his daughter DeShawn; and his grandchildren, Kateesha, Kierra, Juan, Alana and Michael-James. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces.
