She was predeceased by: her parents, James Semmens and Nina Semmens; and her sisters, LaFerne Beglau, Corrine Opdahl and Doris Sand.
She is survived by: her husband Earl; her children, Ronda Zupi (Dave), Jon Strinden (Sandi), Karen Grindberg (Tony), Tom Strinden (Michelle) and Beth Kadoun (Todd); and her grandchildren, Andrew Strinden (Rachel), Beth Ann Demontigny (Ward), Daniel Strinden (Elizabeth), Thomas Beadle (Shana), Michael Zupi (BreAnna), Emily Strinden, Ashlyn Host (Jeremy), Chase Grindberg (Katie), Jacob Strinden, Isaac Kadoun, Katie Kadoun, Joe Strinden, Ben Strinden and Sarah Strinden. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the UND Foundation for the Earl and Jan Strinden Endowment.
