Jerry Klinger Obituary
Jerry Dale Klinger, 68, Fargo, ND passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. He was born on July 2, 1948 in Bismarck, ND to Alfred and Elsie (Fetzer) Klinger. He grew up in Riverdale, ND and graduated from Riverdale High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Army where he served in Vietnam.
In January of 1971, Jerry was honorably discharged and returned to North Dakota. He attended the Wahpeton State School of Science where he earned a Welding degree. On September 11, 1981 Jerry was united in marriage to Margery Tuchscherer in Fargo. The couple made their home in Fargo where they raised their daughter, Darcel.
Jerry worked at Steiger Tractor for several years before being employed at North Dakota Department of Transportation, starting as a welder. In 2013, he retired as an equipment operator after 29 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marge; daughter, Darcy Klinger; brother, James Klinger; and sister, Mary Klinger; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
