He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Gartzke and Marie Gartzke; his sisters, Dorothy Antijunti, Shirley Olson, Lorraine Parish and Lois Pickrel; and his son Vincent.

He is survived by: his wife Lori Eckhoff; his daughter Marcy; and his grandson Zackary. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
