It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Larry Grooters of Fargo, North Dakota, born in Camp Crook, South Dakota, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Grooters and Leone Grooters; his wife Hazel Ussatis; his son Greg; and his brothers, Roger and Gary.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Lipetzky (Roger), Karla Callies (Torrey) and Kristi Stuber (Chris); his daughter-in-law Robin Freier (Lance); his grandchildren, Anna Bowker (Grant), Lane Lipetzky Swenson (Tyler), Ellie Thorton (Esley), Brooke Grooters (Andy Young), Lukas Davison (Alli), Cole Callies, Emma and Alexis Stuber; his great grandchildren, Lilly, Frannie Bowker, Esley Thorton Jr. and Hayes Young; and his sisters, Bev Ferrell, Lynne Irvine and Susan Flanagan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are preferred to the Larry Grooters Scholarship Fund at Valley City State University.
