As we bid Linda farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. She was predeceased by: her parents, Axel Nilson and Elsie Nilson (Barton); and her sisters, Myra Schauer and Margaret Westergaard. She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Leistritz and Leslie Wood; her son-in-law Yong Wood; her grandchildren, Claire and Austen Wood; and her sister Barbara White. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the American Cancer Society, the Cancer Research Institute, the Plains Art Museum, or the Joslyn Art Museum.
