She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Locken and Martha Locken; her husband Kenneth Melin; her daughter Candace Stanley; and her great grandchild Hayden Staggs.

She is survived by: her children, Kevin (Kyounghee), Rick, Rock and Lori Swenson (David); and her grandchildren, Scott Melin (Nicole), Shawna Rodriguez (Sean), Ashley Meilin, Dwayne Stanley II, Alyssa Staggs (Ryan), Lindsey Sluder (Ryan), Trisha Braaten (Justin), Micheal Swenson and Makayla Swenson. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
