She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Sundby and Caroline Sundby (Eken); her husband Donald Sandsmark; her siblings, Palmer Sundby, Anton "Swede" Sundby, Jr. and Lois Morsch Sobolik; her half-brother Charles Cooper; her siblings-in-law, Isabel Sundby, Rose Sundby, Ruth Sundby, George Morsch and Manes "Whitey" Sobolik; and her granddaughter Michelle Sandsmark.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Sandsmark (Mary Kay) of Lengby, MN, William Sandsmark (Dianna) of Fargo, ND and James Sandsmark (Suzanne) of Fargo, ND; and her grandchildren, Christopher Hoffman (Jennifer), Jessica Bentley, Matthew Hoffman (Sara), Sally Chambers, Danielle Sandsmark (Benjamin Persofsky), Lindsay Nerger (Scott), Michael Sandsmark (Kelsey), Katherine Sandsmark (Samuel Reid) and Erin Sandsmark. She is also survived by twenty-one great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (613 16th St S, Fargo, ND 58103). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at the Riverside Cemetery (2102 5th St S, Fargo, ND 58103).
