Mary Elisabeth Newman Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on December 15, 2021, at the age of 86, Mary Elisabeth Newman of Fargo, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Harwood and Clara Harwood (Nestegard); her husband Harold; her son Russell; and her siblings, Richard, Lloyd, Esther Watson and Ruth Rabenburg.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kari Ness (Leo) of Jamestown, ND, Nancy Erickson (Scott) of Fargo, ND, Ruth Tang (Sheldon) of Minneapolis, MN and Cheryl Olson (Brent) of Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Kyle (Tara), Matthew (Amber), Ty (Sacha), Jake, Russell "Boomer" Newman (Laura), Rachel Ebeling (Chris), Mary Nybakken (Blake), Nancy (Joe Parmer), Leo Kristian Ness, Clara (Steven Daniels), AJ Erickson (Natalie), Elizabeth Alsager (Josh), Nils (Abigail), Leif, Kai, Maiken Tang, Ruth, Charles and Grace Olson; her daughter-in-law Audrey; her stepgrandson William Wadsworth; and her brother Charles. She is also survived by thirty-two great-grandchildren.
