Michael R. Gast Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael R. Gast (Fargo, North Dakota), who passed away on June 28, 2025 at the age of 48. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Richard Gast. He is survived by: his mother Barb Gast (Jeglum) of Moorhead; his wife Kelli Tranby; his children, Parker, Tyler and Brooklyn (Coco); his brother Scott Gast (Brian) of Roseville, MN; his in-laws, David, Sharon Tranby of Moorhead, Jon, Cindy Tranby of Blaine, MN and Steve Tranby of Fort Collins, CO; and his nephews, Toby and Matthew Tranby. He is also survived by his extended family, fishing buddies, dear friends, billet sons.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hope Lutheran Church - South Campus (3636 25th St S, Fargo, ND 58104).
In lieu of flowers, the Gast family invites you to consider two foundations close to their hearts: Pray for Gray and the Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation, both of which support families affected by brain cancer.
