He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Galvan, Cheryl Hamre (Perry) and Mike Tandeski; his grandchildren, Brianna Thompson, Amanda Thompson (Jamie) and Keegan Hamre; his great grandchild Henry; his girlfriend Deb Rothschadl; his pet Elvis; his siblings, Mary Harrington, Fran Joramo (Greg), Tony Schmaltz, Angela Olson and Peter Schmaltz (Vicki); and his sister-in-law Geri Schmaltz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and cousins.
