She was predeceased by: her parents, John Methorst and Anna Methorst; and her siblings, John Methorst, Mary Heath and Gerty Bleecker.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald P. Nelson (Shorty) of Fargo; her children, Mark Nelson (Stephanie) of Des Moines, IA and Judy (Michael) of Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Jonathan Nelson (Heather), Katy Nelson (Jens), Jordan Smith (Sara), Josh Smith (Christina) and Marah Smith; and her great grandchildren, Charlie, Maddie Nelson, Griffin, Boden Smith, Isabella, Bennett, Emmett and Lucca Smith.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home (309 5th St, Milnor, ND 58060).
