He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Bentrup and Margaret Bentrup; and his brothers, Richard and Tom Bentrup. He is survived by: his wife Karen Bentrup (Sanderson); his children, Bryan Bentrup, Leah Bentrup and Traci Sletmoe (Jon); his grandsons, Magnus and Otto; and his extended family, Lin Bentrup, Mark Bentrup (June), Mary Wagner (Ken), John Bentrup and Lou Krohn. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
