It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Bjerkager of Fargo, North Dakota, born in Colfax, North Dakota, who passed away on September 18, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bjerkager and Clara Bjerkager (Hagen); his wife Myrtle Bjerkager; his parents-in-law, Lubka and Mildred DeFries; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lee and Richard DeFries.

He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Litton (Duane); his grandchildren, Chris Litton (Britney) of Fargo and Corey Litton (Jen) of Fargo; his daughters, DeAnn Melkert (Greg) of Erhard, MN, Drew Sondeland (Chelsey), Jenna Braman (Chuck), Lisa Braun (Myron), Karlie Jo Qual (Tyler) of Lisbon, ND and Jordyn Phelps (Tyler); his sister Sylpha Lee of Abercrombie, ND; and his friend Pat Heibel. He is also survived by grandchildren; 14, great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild.
