With solemn reverence, we commemorate Richard Emerson (Fargo, North Dakota), whose life came to an end on July 9, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Howard Emerson and Mary Jane Emerson (O'Masta); and his brother Howard "Butch" Emerson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Lisa and Ryan (Becky); his grandchildren, John Christianson and Erica Christianson (Hunter Kluth); his siblings-in-law, Mary Margaret Emerson, Kay Root (Robb), Charles Hendrickson (Barb) and Hank Hendrickson (Barb); and his pet Callie.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar First Presbyterian Church-Fargo (650 2nd Ave N, Fargo, ND 58102). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Dick received awards for his contributions to the barley industry from the Antera Seed Company, US Grain Council, North Dakota Grain Growers Association, North Dakota Barley Council and the National Barley Growers Association.
