With sadness, we share the passing of Richard Arthur Hanson in Fargo, North Dakota. Richard, born on September 20, 1943, passed away on October 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Rosalie Larson and Berger Adolph Hanson; and his siblings, Beverly Hanson, James, John and Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Sherry Hanson (Solem) of Fargo; his daughters, Lisa Hanson (Billy Baber) of Fargo and Sammi Tahtinen (Jamie Tahtinen); his grandchildren, Brianna Baber, Alexander Tahtinen (Marissa) and Andrew Tahtinen (Kelsey); and his brothers-in-law, Harold Solem (Sue) and Jerry Solem (Lois). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Lower Wild Rice Cemetery.
