It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Olsen (Fargo, North Dakota), born in Sisseton, South Dakota, who passed away on May 4, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clare and Florence (Waldieck); and his wife Jeanie (Sauer). He is survived by: his sister Mary; his children, Catherine, Constance (Greg), Elizabeth (Kevin), Minneapolis and Christopher (Jennifer); his granddaughter Molly; and his great grandchildren, Brennan and Ashton Fern. He is also survived by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

“Take comfort in the grace which enabled you to enjoy his presence so long. I lost my father (also a Marine, 1st Division) to a heart attack 3 months after his 62nd birthday. Losing any loved one is difficult but death is sometimes laced with mercy. Marines are a special breed of honorable men and ours in particular were part of America's greatest generation. May God comfort the Olsen family and keep his memory alive in your hearts forever.”
