He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Knight (Peterson); his daughters, Amy Knight Witte (Bret) and Jennifer Rheault (Jamie); his grandchildren, Dayne Byars, Tatum Byars, Madison Witte, Isaac and Sylvie Rheault; and his siblings, Katie Searl and David Knight.

Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hope Lutheran Church (2900 Broadway N, Fargo, ND 58102). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
