He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond McNeil and Helen McNeil (Ferris); his sister Bonnie Lee Stoebner; his brother-in-law Kirk Redmond; and his father-in-law Aloys Mastel.

He is survived by: his wife Bernadette Mastel of Ellendale; his son David Scott (Lesley); his grandchildren, Olivia Katherine, Addison Rae and Matthew David; his great grandchild Michelle Rae (Rodger Ladd); his siblings, Bruce McNeil (Janie) of Congress, AZ and Elaine Redmond of South Hutchinson, KS.; Madeline Rae and Jacob Baylor.
