He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Umsted and Margaret Umsted (Blinkenberg); and his sisters, Marion (Bob Iverson) and JoAnne (Doug Howells). He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Lemley; his children, Jason, Barb Umsted, Melinda and Steve Middlestead of West Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Madeline Umsted, Cole Middlestead, Owen Umsted and Cade Russell Middlestead; and his siblings, Dorothy Wygle (Donald) and Al Umsted (Carol). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
