He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Lake and Janet Slavik; and his stepfather Robert Slavik. He is survived by: his significant other Brenda Mehus of Fargo, ND; his stepdaughters, Nicole Mehus-Jensen (Troy) of Detroit, Stephanie Nelson (Adam) of Fargo, ND and Elizabeth Mehus-Waller (Troy Thomson) of Fargo, ND; his brother Steve Lake (Cindy) of Peoria, AZ; his nephew Tyler Lake (Ashley) of Raleigh, NC; his niece Alyssa Lake of Pensacola, FL; and his grandchildren, Lily, Brynn of Ella, CJ, Kasa, Carson, Deja, Trey and Calvyn.
