He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswin Schmitz and Josephine Schmitz; and his grandson Ryan Schulz. He is survived by: his sons, Mike (Janel) of Bismarck, Bob (Anne) of Wichita, Kansas and Dan (Andrea) of New Salem; his wife Diane Bruski; his daughter Sheryl Schulz (Duane) of Bismarck; his sister Mary Colling of Bismarck; and his grandson Jason (David). He is also survived by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Light of Christ Catholic Schools, God's Child Project or Cathedral of the Holy Spirit.
