She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Sandeen and Gertie Sandeen; her husband Melvin Skarphol; and her siblings, Arnold, Clayton (Patty), Mabel (George), Myrtle (Olaf), Pearl (Irving) and Inez (Bud).

She is survived by: her children, Charles (Linda), Steven (Patti), Paul (Rose), David (Kim), Debra Bang (Bob), John (Nancy), Mary Wolf (Troy) and Matt (Erin); her grandchildren, Chris (Tricia), Courtney Qual (Jon), Andrew (Jenny), Liz Hannum, Emily Martello (Ben), Logan, Austin (Ashley), Jack Bang, Adam, Nick (Kara), Gabe (Maia), Lexy Johnson (Aaron), Spencer (Holly), Taylor (Jenny) and Sydney Laverty (Kyle); her great grandchildren, Hannah, Addison, Harper, Quinn, Ellery, Carson, Leah, Gabby, Lexy, Nic, Grace, Bailey, Karter, William, Maxwell, Haakon, Colette, Winifred, Wolfbaby, Aurora, Brooklyn, Ryland, Lyla and Claire; and her great great grandchildren, Berkley, Oliver, Hadley and Lily. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley and the New Life Center in Fargo.
