It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verlys Dilley of Finley, North Dakota, who passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Johnson and Hilda Johnson (Kirkeeng); her husband Lyle; her son Maurice; her siblings, Charlotte Folkestad and Gail Johnson; her son-in-law Steve Bailey; and her grandchildren, Nathan and Elisabeth.
She is survived by: her children, Lynette Ward (Thomas) of Champlin, MN, Carol Flaten (Mark) of Finley, ND, Marilyn Bailey of Huntington Beach, CA and Thomas Dilley (Laura) of Brainerd, MN. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild on the way, extended family, dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bethany Free Lutheran Church (21987 Co Rd 23, Sebeka, MN 56477). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
