It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Schlichting of Garrison, North Dakota, who passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Bernice leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Evenson and Caroline Evenson; her husband George Schlichting; and her brothers, Donald Evenson (Gladys) and Floyd Evenson (Lorraine).
She is survived by: her sons, Dean (Donna) of Garrison and Glenn (Ann) of Garrison; and her grandchildren, Jill Mautz (Riley) of Garrison, Steely of Garrison and Preston Schneider of Minot. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
