He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Gerving and Teresa Gerving; his brother Peter; and his sister-in-law Theresa Wilmes. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Wilmes; his children, Donna Borr (Dave) of Mandan, Charles "Chuck" (Loretta) of Glen Ullin, Mark (Marla) of Bismarck, Jeff (Katie) of Bismarck, Mitch (Lorie) of Glen Ullin, Robert "Rob" (Sandy) of Glen Ullin, Kevin (Dana) of Glen Ullin and Doug (Jodi) of Bismarck; and his brothers, Jerry Gerving and Patrick Gerving. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (204 W Ash Ave, Glen Ullin, ND 58631). A Mass was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
