She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Hunke and LaMoine Hunke (Davis); her husband James Schaaf of Joseph's Catholic Church; and her brothers, Robert, Howard, Maurice and Carlton Hunke.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg Schaaf of Glen Ullin and Jimmy Schaaf (Jessica) of Glen Ullin; her granddaughters, Jamie, Isabella, Aeriel and Olivia; and her sister Vivian Ficek. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (204 W Ash Ave, Glen Ullin, ND 58631). A Mass was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Marianne's family suggests donations be made to the Ben Hunke Music Scholarship at the University of Mary in Bismarck.
