With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LeRoy E. Nelson of Grafton, North Dakota, who passed away on October 10, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Nelson and Stella Nelson (Hanson); his wife Thelma Watkins; his brother Bennie Nelson; and his parents-in-law, Willis and Marion Watkins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Monica Olson (Chris) of Fargo, ND, Marcia Olson (Chris) of Grafton, ND and Melinda Nadeau (Burrell) of Andover, MN; his grandchildren, Melissa Hopke (Kevin), Cory Blanchard (Melissa), Sydney Will (Tanner McKinnon), Lily Nadeau and Claire Olson (Alex Ibanez); his great grandchildren, Danielle Blanchard, Karla Hopke, Julie Blanchard and Owen Hopke; and his sister Ann Estad.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department, Grafton Lutheran Church, Landstad Cemetery, or the Lutheran Sunset Home.
