He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Sabourin (Dauksavage) and Rene Sabourin of Grafton, ND.; his son Austin Marcel; his in-laws, Agnes and George Scharwark; his sister Betty Fillion; his siblings-in-law, Ann Michelle "Mickey" Scharwark (Shaver), Edgar Fillion and Jerry Twedten; his niece Angela Shaver; and his nephew Jason Shaver.

He is survived by: his wife Trudy Twedten; his daughters, Darcy Sabourin of Grafton and Trish Campbell (Ryan) of Bluffton, SC; his granddaughters, Temre Campbell of Green Bay, WI and Mia Campbell of Bluffton, SC; his son Joe Sabourin (Jennifer) of Fargo; his grandchildren, Emery and Ava; and his sisters, Lyndis Lewco (John) of Winnipeg, MB, Susan Rodgers (Wally) of Grand Forks and Bonnie Lindsey of Fargo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
