He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Dietrich and Isabel Dietrich (Mozinski); his siblings, Joan Eidsvold, Donald Dietrich, Cynthia Hartje and Harvey Smith; and his in-laws, Diane Erickson and Susan Albright (Curt).
He is survived by: his wife Mona Kay; his children, Andrea Todd (Theron) of Ocean Breeze, FL, Rebecca Bender (Jaden) of Hope, ND, Jessica Gunderson of Drayton, ND and Darrin Dietrich (Kelli) of Fargo, ND; his siblings, Margaret Smith, Esther Fisher, Diane Vansickle (Herb), Dennis Dietrich (Linda), Michael Hartje, Tom Eidsvold and Mary Dietrich; and his in-laws, Carol Snortland, Steven Smallbeck (Sandy) and Timothy Smallbeck (Valerie). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Tollefson Funeral Home (154 W 12th St, Grafton, ND 58237). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas United Methodist Church (513 Heritage St, St Thomas, ND 58276).
