She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Gothberg and Florence Gothberg; and her brother Kenny. She is survived by: her children, Kelly Nelson (Vince), David Nelson (Rochelle) and Mike Soma (Chelsea); her siblings, Gary Gothberg and Marilyn Johnson; her grandchildren, Johnnie, James, Alli, Zach and Evan; and her pets, Stella, Lucy, Daisy and Fred.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Amundson Funeral Home (2975 S 42nd St, Grand Forks, ND 58208). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Circle of Friends Animal Shelter, 4375 N Washington St, Grand Forks, ND 58203, in Carol's honor.
