We are sad to announce that, on June 24, 2019, at the age of 93, Charles Asche (Grand Forks, North Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Evert Asche and Tetkea Asche (Caspers); and his siblings, Jane, Gladys, Emolyn, Joe and John.

He is survived by: his wife Elsie Gilderhus August; his nieces and nephews, Nancy Altain, Chuck Grussing, Tim Asche, Bob Gilbertson, Diane Derra and Gale Bontz; Rita Engen, Diane Bring, Rod Gilderhus, Keith Gilderhus, Terri Rimler, Jan Palmgren and Jadene Weber.

“Mr. Asche was my 6th grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary. We all adored him and loved him. He was a great person to look up to and to emulate. The amount of memories about him I could put into a book, with many chapters. I am so sad to hear of his passing. To this day I still hear his voice in my head whether it be working through a math problem or a proper batting stance in baseball! I will always remember the jingle-jangly change in his pockets and the sound of his keys when he would walk!”
