He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Nelson and Margrethe Nelson (Bertelson); and his daughter Ashley. He is survived by: his wife Janet Nelson of Grand Forks; his children, Cynthia Martinez (Billy) of Fargo, Brian Nelson (Carly) of Grand Forks and Kevin Nelson of Grand Forks; and his grandchildren, Madyson Walters, Addylina, Penelope and Gabriella Martinez. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
