It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald L. Piper of Grand Forks, North Dakota, born in Hobart, Indiana, who passed away on October 2, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Piper and Martha Piper; and his wife June Koehler. He is survived by: his great grandchild Scott; his son Tanner; and also, Judy Piper, Michael, James, Dr. Kevin, Barbara Piper, Daniel (Melanie), Kyle (Jessie), Randy, Vicki Piper, Kirsten, Samantha (Dan Jackson), Ron, Sheila Piper, Tyler (Kate) and Lena June. He is also survived by four sons, four daughters-in-law, eight grandchildren.
However, rather than spend money on flowers that last only briefly, if anyone prefers to do so, memorials may be made to the Grand Forks Salvation Army, the Grand Forks Northlands Rescue Mission, Faith Evangelical Free Church, or any other charity of the giver's choice.
