It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Duane O. Sandwick of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on March 17, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orvin Sandwick and Mildred Sandwick (Trost); his brother-in-law David Pinske; and his nephew Bob McCalip. He is survived by: his wife Aileen Schroeder Fahey; his children, Roman (Sandra Blevins), Cynthia (Chad Miller), Richard and Jerry Sandwick; and his siblings, Charles McCalip (Veronica) of Bemidji, MN, Carter Hedeen of Park Rapids, MN, Jan Pinske of Gary, MN, Collette Sketvedt, Rita Sandwick of Fargo, ND and Beverly Hettver (Floyd) of DeGraff, MN.. He is also survived by 3 granddaughters; 1 great-granddaughter and 1 great-grandson.
Memorials will be given to the Luther Memorial Home, the Memory Unit.
