Evelyn Slominski Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evelyn Slominski of Grand Forks, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mesheske and Regina Mesheske (Skibitski); her husband Stephen T. Slominski; her son Douglas S. Slominski; her sisters, LaVerne Grovum (Lee) and Marlene Gratton (George); her grandparents, Victor, Julia Skibitski (Dombeck), Frank and Veronica Mesheske (Tibiatowski); and her in-laws, William and Mary Slominski (Ginter).
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Holter (Mitch) of Fargo, ND, Shelly Pecka (Calvin) and Joel Slominski (Susan) of Ardoch, ND.; and her grandchildren, Stacey Schultz (Matt), Brian Slominski, Cary Slominski (Hannah), Greg Slominski (Andrea), Tina Betancourt (Oscar), Tamera Tolly (Steve), Michelle Klobassa (Ryan), Janelle Holter, Jason Pecka (Heather), Brad Pecka (Kirsten), Nicole Pecka (Kyle Knutson), Ashley Anderson (Dustin) and Callie Johnson (Travis). She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Joseph's Catholic Church or St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
