He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Miller and Susan Miller (Phillips); and his siblings, Margaret (John Baumgartner), Don (Gloria), Irene (Odo Trudel), Roy G. (Dorothy), Bernice (Irish Lannon), Jim (Marilyn) and Bernard (Benny).

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Coffey of Minto, ND; his sons, Chuck (Linda Banks) of Minneapolis and Joe (Julie) of Maple Grove, MN; his grandchildren, Jake, Maggie, Jack and Alex; and his sister-in-law Gerrie Miller.
