It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Brooks in Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Fred may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Fred touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sixbury Brooks and Opal Margaret Harper; and his brother Bruce Brooks. He is survived by: his children, Traci Joy White (Brooks) and David Wayne Brooks of Lakeville, MN; his wife Elizabeth Schall (Betty) of Grand Forks, ND.; his grandsons, Isaac David Brooks and Carter Richard Brooks; Chris Brooks of Boise, ID..
