It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Genevieve Ann Brant of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida DeLorme and Peter DeLorme; her husband Frank Brant; her son Frank Lee; her stepson Elmer Lee Brant; and her siblings, Peter Clifford DeLorme, Eugene DeLorme, Evangeline Braun and Doris May DeLorme.
She is survived by: her former husband Richard E. Short; her son Richard Short (Juanita); her grandchildren, Kerri Whipple (Casey) of Kindred, Jennifer Whitman (Clifton Jr.) of Carrington, Laura Gregg (Anthony Seth) of Boise, ID, Joseph Gladue (Lisa) and Stephanie Gladue (Anthony Brosius) of Buxton; her great grandchildren, Tarley (Mariama), Bryce, Gabe, Cael Whipple, Savannah, Maximus, Amari, Jayci Whitman, Cash, Barrett Gregg, Tyr Hammargren, Ember, Joey Gladue, Nikole and Jacob Gladue; her siblings, Marion Lily Houle of Belcourt, ND, Theresa Mabin of Bismarck, ND and Cyprian DeLorme (Barbara) of Stillwater, MN.; Ariel Goah.
