Gordon Opstad Obituary
In loving memory of Gordon Opstad of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who departed this world on May 18, 2025 at the age of 81. Gordon leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bjorgo Opstad and Clara Opstad (Berg); and his brothers, Don Opstad, Byron Opstad and Mel Opstad.
He is survived by: his children, Trina Fifield (Ryan Ellingson) of Eagan, MN, Tricia Opstad of Missoula, MT and Casey Opstad of Brooklyn, NY.; his grandchildren, Bradley Fifield, Kate Fifield and Charlie Gordon Fifield; his sister Sharon Hanson (Mick); and his sisters-in-law, Pat Opstad and Arlene Opstad. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (215 3rd Ave SE, Minot, ND 58701).
