She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Lizakowski and Caroline Lizakowski (Gerszewski); her husband Edward J. Zon; her children, Marilynn Guarnieri and Eddie Zon; her grandchildren, Heidi Schmidt and James Janousec; her great grandchild Tiannah Hayden; and her siblings, Jean Valinski and Henry Lizakowski.

She is survived by: her daughters, Janie Zon of Grand Forks, ND, Judy Simmers (Dave) of Peoria, AZ and Cindy Russell (Randy) of Grand Forks, ND; and her siblings, Rose Saylor (Richard) of Westminster, CO and James Lizakowski of Minto, ND. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
