Jacob Daniel Fjestad Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jacob Daniel Fjestad of Grand Forks, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 17, 2025 at the age of 27. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Theodore Miner Sr., Leon Fjestad, David Estad and Don Steenerson; his stepfather Jon Johnson; and his uncle Rob Vakoc.
He is survived by: his father Daniel Fjestad (Sherry); his pet Peep; his mother Jennifer Johnson of Grand Forks, ND; his siblings, Johnny Fjestad of Grand Forks, ND, Cole Hodny (Leah) of Grand Forks, ND, Mariah McWalter of Grand Forks, ND, Stella Fjestad of Grand Forks, ND, Jaden Fjestad of Grand Forks, ND, Abby Jerome (Cooper) of Grand Forks, ND and Mikaela Johnson of Grand Forks, ND; and his grandparents, Kathleen LaBatte of Bemidji, MN, Avis Fjestad of Grand Forks, Katheryn Steenerson of Grand Forks and Sandy Estad of Cavalier, ND. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins, and his beloved cat.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (1515 5th Ave NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Humane Society in memory of Jacob's love for animals or a charity of your choice.
