He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Berg and Orville Berg; and his siblings, Marilyn, Marjane and Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Berg (Blackmore); his children, Rick Berg, Jason Berg and Kristi Eslinger (Tracy); his grandchildren, Mandy Berg, Joseph Berg (Jaimee), Nicholas Berg (Jennifer), Hailey Berg, Nate, Brenna and Ava Eslinger; his great grandchildren, Rylee, Alivia, Tegan, Harper, River, Cade and Brayden; his siblings, Patti, Debbie and Darrell; and his close friends, Vern and Carol. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amundson Funeral Home (2975 S 42nd St, Grand Forks, ND 58208). A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
