She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sutherland and Laura Hilda Sutherland (Sampson); and her husband David. She is survived by: her children, Beverley and Richard; her brother Tony Sutherland; her grandchildren, Kelly Pearson, Manchester, England and Michael Longoria (Sara); and her great grandchildren, Alison Pearson, Ivy Brereton and Myron Longoria.
She was an avid knitter, having learned from her granny at age 3, and in her later years she knit and donated hundreds of hats to the Altru Cancer Center.
