He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Zilka (Sam) and Dorothy Zilka (Liebl); his wife Renee Zilka of Michael's Church; his brothers, Steven and William (Bill); his siblings-in-law, Marcellus Klier, Robbie Keller, Bill Dickson, Kathleen Zilka, Shirley Zilka, Janet Zilka and James Heinze; and also, Henry, Ida Heinze and Georgia Heinze.
He is survived by: his children, Jason Zilka (Kristin) of Grand Forks, ND and Erin Zilka of Fargo, ND; his grandchildren, Sarah (Alex Rask) of Grand Forks, ND, Emily of Grand Forks, ND, Robin of Grand Forks, ND and Jacob Zilka of Grand Forks, ND; and his siblings, Dorothy Klier, Tom Zilka (Lynnette), Theresa Keller, Mary DeCrans (Bob), Francis Zilka (Julie), Ed Zilka (Sharon), Joe Zilka (Florence), Christine Dickson, Margaret Rairdon and Pete (Janet).
It was Leonard's wish that his body be donated to Science at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, Grand Forks, ND.
