He is survived by: his wife Mavis Landon of Grand Forks, ND; his sons, Lowell "Rusty" Nelson Jr. (Barbara) of Hendricks, MN and Scott Nelson (Audrey) of Grand Forks, ND; and his siblings, Jacki Lund of Grand Forks, Luella Harris of Raleigh, NC, Juel Homolka of Sun City, AZ, Arlen Lund (Faye) of Zeeland, ND and Shirley Halle of Amherst. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
