She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Matthiesen and Zelda Matthiesen; her husband Leonard Johnson; her sisters, Marilyn Jess and Mae Covill; and her son Robert Keith Johnson.
She is survived by: her brother Charles Matthiesen (Matsue) of Hinkley, CA; and her children, Tim Johnson (Barbara) of Palmer, AK, David Johnson (Carol) of Loudon, TN, Dawne Brooks (Dale) of Juniata, NE, L. Roger Johnson (Anita) of Longmont, CO, Richard Johnson (Svetlana) of Denton, TX, Terri Johnson, East, Sandy Lindell (Grant) of Adams, ND, Kirsten Tafelmeyer (Norman) of Cooperstown, ND, Eric Johnson (Lona) of Turtle Lake, ND and Karen Johnson (Joe Cullum) of Mount Calm, TX. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.
She kept up with her family through Facebook, made new friends, played cards, rode her exercise bike and beat COVID.
