We are sad to announce that on August 11, 2022, at the age of 63, Michael Dean Nelson of Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nelson and Phyllis Nelson (Hammer); his siblings, Mark, Carole and Linda; his nephew Kevin; and his niece Shauna.
He is survived by: his children, Shannon Theiss (Justin) of Spangdahlem, Germany, Justin Nelson (Candice) of Hatton, ND, Danielle Engels (Matt) of Garrison, ND and Micah Nelson (Lingzhi) of Owatonna, MN; and his siblings, Jeffrey (Diane) of Northwood, ND and Betsy Bjoralt (Kim) of Fargo, ND. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Instead, to celebrate his life and in lieu of flowers, his family asks that you remember him by spending time in his favorite spot- the great outdoors, hiking along a trail, or perhaps dozing beside a creek.
